Fast forward to today, Christian McCaffrey is the NFL’s superstar running back, lighting up the field. His early video, where he toyed with a mascot, now seems like a crystal ball into his future greatness. Reports describe how McCaffrey left the Houston Texans’ mascot, Toro, in utter disarray with his jaw-dropping moves.

After scoring a touchdown, he nonchalantly pulled out a Sharpie, autographed the football, and tossed it into the stands. McCaffrey’s style and swagger have always been a cut above the rest. Christian, the son of former Stanford and NFL wide receiver Ed McCaffrey and former Stanford soccer player Lisa McCaffrey, inherits the athletic genes from his parents.

But there’s more to McCaffrey than just football.

In 2013, as a junior, he dabbled in basketball and stood out as a sprinter on the track and field team. He secured sixth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.89 seconds and clinched ninth place in the 200-meter dash, clocking in at 22.17 seconds at the CHSAA State Meet.
