The Philadelphia Eagles have found fame through their strong defense as well as powerful offense. They have become famous with their aggressive offensive strategy,  ‘Tush Push’ or short yardage play, which has proven successful against many opponents this year alone. Using the ‘brotherly shove’, the Eagles have managed to run that particular play more than any other team except one.

The 3X Super Bowl champions had an undefeated streak up to Week 5 of this season using their short-yardage play. Inspired, the Dallas Cowboys also attempted the ‘tush push’ in their latest match against the Los Angeles Chargers. However, it was unsuccessful, and analyst Pat McAfee sent a strong reply.

During their game against the Chargers on October 16, 2023, the Dallas Cowboys attempted the Eagles’ ‘tush push’ play on a fourth-and-1 try from the LA 13-yard line. Unfortunately, it failed since could not execute it the same way the Eagles did. Pat McAfee, on October 17, posted on X, replying to the Cowboys’ unsuccessful short-yardage play. He said, “The Tush Push ain’t easy.”

As per a report, it is not a trick play; the defense can instantly recognize it as soon as the offense lines up in a formation. The Cowboys quarterback, Dak Prescott, was asked about the struggles behind the tush-push play, and he gave a humorous reply. “They didn’t push my tush enough,” he said. This response is seen as a lighthearted comment on the team’s struggle with the move.

The Dallas Cowboys must work on improving and properly executing the ‘tush push’ play to be as good as the Eagles. Nevertheless, even their short-yardage move was skilfully tackled by the New York Jets, who successfully defeated them in Week 6. The Jets managed to put an end to their undefeated streak. Despite the loss, their center, Jason Kelce, managed to record another achievement.
