The Niners were defeated again for the second time in a row. Just 2 matches before, the Niners seemed to be undefeatable, as they were one of the two teams that were not defeated. However, it looks like the losing streak has begun.

The Vikings proved victorious over the Niners with 22-17. This highly anticipated match had more than one thing to highlight. There were many out of which Kirk Cousins has been getting a lot of attention. He got praised in a way that no one could’ve imagined. Things got blingy when Justin Jefferson came into the picture.

Jefferson gifted a sparkly gold chain to one of the top 10 QB

Yes, that is definitely true. The quarterback Cousins is a part of the top 10 quarterbacks in the NFL. After the Niners had to go home with sad faces carrying the weight of a defeat, the Vikings were lit up with joy after defeating one of the top-ranking teams this season. They won without their wide receiver Jefferson, though he was on the sidelines cheering for his team. After the match, Jefferson did his part by giving something to the QB.

The MLFootball page on X tweeted about the incident. They shared a clip where Jefferson was seen while Kirk was giving the post-match interview. Amidst that, Jefferson placed a massive gold chain around the QB’s neck. The chain said, ‘Top 10’. Both the players looked extremely happy. Cousins was delighted to see his biggest supporter’s gesture. Cousins jokingly remarked, pointing to Jefferson’s teeth, “I gotta work on getting some of these though, I gotta get that.”

While holding and looking at his chain, he said, “I love it!” The two’s eyes were sparkling with excitement and happiness. Many credited the win to Cousins. Not just that, Colin Cowherd suggested putting Cousins up for trade.

In Week 7 Monday night victory, Cousins led the Vikings to triumph over the Niners. He bounced back from an early interception to achieve 378 yards, 35 completions, and two touchdowns. He completed 77.8% of his passes. This impressive display inevitably marked the Vikings’ first home win of the season.

After Cousins’ remarkable performance, sports commentator Colin Cowherd has suggested that the veteran quarterback could be a valuable trade asset for teams looking for a perfect quarterback before the trade deadline. He said, “I thought Kirk Cousins, standalone game, against the 49ers, if I’m a general manager looking around this league I’m like… ‘Let’s roll the dice.’”
