The New York Jets are currently undergoing a breakup. Or at least that is what they felt like when they lost the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night. Due to some close calls by the referees, that are considered controversial, the Jets lost to the Chiefs. Many reactions from the internet have poured in, but fans consider the best one yet to be that of the Kelce brothers. Travis and Jason Kelce engage in a hearty conversation surrounding the referee’s decision and reach a (non) controversial conclusion.
The Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets game was something that made Taylor Swift, for whom millions of Swifties scream during her concerts, scream at the top of her lungs for the Chiefs after the end of the fourth quarter, thanks to the referee Frank Steratore. Jason Kelce loves to take a stand for his brothers. Not only his sibling Travis Kelce but also his fellow NFL brothers. While talking about the controversial calls in his new podcast, the New Heights Season 2. The two brothers sat down to talk about how the Jets fans are questioning the call for hold at the end of the game.“Even though it is certainly within the realm of being called a hold, I do not like when officials call questionable things at the end of the games,” said Jason Kelce. He also added at the end the specific request he had to make to the referee, keeping in mind the situation. “Let the boys play!” was all the Eagle Center had to say during his conversation, to which even the Chief’s tight-end agreed.
Travis Kelce had some input from his own end. Even though his team benefitted from the call, he believed that the call should not be put in the referee’s hands. While Jason agreed to that, he also believed that teams should learn from Kansas to capitalize on their mistakes. As, at the end of the day, the Chiefs won. Yet, after all the bits of advice, fans are sensing some Déjà vu fans are sensing in the Eagles’ center’s voice.
