The Seattle Seahawks left no stone unturned in their last game. On Monday, the Seahawks presented an exemplary performance against the New York Giants, which they won with a massive score of 24-3 at the MetLife Stadium. Be it Geno Smith’s six-yard touchdown pass to DK Metcalf, or Kenneth Walker III’s single-yard run just before halftime, the players gave their best.
Not to forget rookie Devon Witherspoon’s 97-yard run with a touchdown. The Seahawks did enough to deserve their third consecutive win of the season. Not only did they embarrass the already struggling New York Giants, they did something spectacular in the game. They repeated the history that the Seahawks created about 24 years ago.

The performance that Seattle displayed was nothing less than phenomenal. The team had a massive 846 yards and three touchdowns and came on par with their previous record. The record dates back to 1986, when the Seattle Seahawks competed against the Los Angeles Raiders on December 8. That was the only time, before the game on Monday, when the Seahawks had 11 sacks. Repeating the history, after so many years, the defensive liners of the team scored 11 sacks on only one QB of the Giants.
11 sacks!? That ties the @Seahawks record for most in a single game (vs. L.A Raiders, 12/8/86). #GoHawks

Yes, you guessed it correctly; it was Daniel Jones who was sacked 11 times. The QB is not only making bad decisions as a quarterback, one of the most important players on the team, but he is also bringing the team’s reputation down. But it’s not just the QB alone, it’s many problematic areas that together have become the nemeses of the New York Giants this season. Seahawks, on the other hand, are a rising team this season.

What have the Seattle Seahawks improved?

Over the years, the Seahawks have worked a lot on their shortcomings, especially their defenses. As said by the Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, “Everything that we’re doing right now is a big improvement,”

The addition of LB Bobby Wagner, nose tackle Jarran Reed, and defensive ends like Dre’Mont Jones and Mario Edwards Jr. is showing significant improvement in the defense of the team. Speaking of numbers, the team has a score of 2.9 yards per carry, as compared to last year’s 4.9 yards per carry, which is a huge development. These improvements have made the team the third-best in terms of the yards-per-carry score. Looking at these figures, many experts are expecting them to see the team in the playoffs.
