The Eagles will not leave the chance to continue their winning streak whatever it takes. Recently, a trade happened between the Eagles and the Titans which has blown up. After showing the world one of the best defense displays, the Eagles are all set to add one more marquee talent before the trade deadline of the NFL. The trade deal was pretty simple.

The Eagles acquired a Pro Bowl Safety Kevin Byard and in return, they sent their safety Terrell Edmunds to the other side. They also sent two draft picks as well: one of them was a fifth-rounder, and the other one, was a sixth-rounder. The Eagles are not getting their money hit, as the Titans gave $7 million of the $11 million compensation to Byard. It seems like the Eagles have played smart and got what they wanted without giving away too much.

The Eagles have dealt with many injuries of the safeties this season; they needed a strong player for the position which they have acquired. The deadline for the NFL trade is 31 October, and the Eagles made their move just before that. In addition to the transfer news, Byard’s contract details were also out to the public.

Byard is just earning $4 million

Are Eagles in loss or in profit by this trade? It seems like they are totally in the right position. The safety Byard will just be paid $4 million this year. During the next year, his salary will definitely bump up to $9.6 million.

Not just that, he will also get other bonuses of around $4.5 million which is not guaranteed. So, speaking from numbers, the team isn’t really suffering from the money end. They have definitely saved on the cap by this trade.
