The contract situation between Garoppolo and the 49ers’ hasn’t been on the sweeter side too. Continuous injuries at regular intervals have also hampered his overall progress in the game. These injuries have also diminished the demand for Jimmy G among other clubs out in the market in search of new quarterbacks. However, according to Sean Payton, things are not that gloomy for him. Payton thinks that a player of Garoppolo’s caliber is certain to regain the starting place in the 49ers’ lineup in little time.

“I think there are seven or eight teams that we’re gonna see, not because of injury, we’re gonna see more than one quarterback play,” Payton said while talking to Colin Cowherd on the show ‘The Herd’ earlier this week. “I think, and I believe, don’t kid yourself, that we’re gonna see Garoppolo back in that lineup.”
