Brigham Young University quarterback Zach Wilson had a strong season with the Cougars in 2020. The 21-year-old threw for 3,692 yards with 33 passing TDs against just 3 interceptions.
He was named the offensive MVP of the 2020 Boca Raton Bowl after completing 26 of 34 passes for 425 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Wilson broke the legendary Steve Young’s completion percentage in a season which was set at 73.5 percent. He further rushed for 254 yards with 10 rushing touchdowns to his name.
He impressed at the recent BYU Pro Day catching the eye of multiple NFL scouts with his throwing drills. But reports from within the league’s scouting fraternity indicate that Wilson is already on his way to a certain New York-based organization.

Zach Wilson to New York Jets all but confirmed ahead of 2021 NFL Draft?
As per The Athletic reporter Dane Brugler, an unnamed NFL scout has confirmed that Zach Wilson is going to be drafted as the 2nd overall pick.
The Urban Meyer-coached Jacksonville Jaguars are expected to pick Clemson Tigers star, Trevor Lawrence, as the first overall pick at the 2021 NFL Draft.
Wilson ended his 3-year college career with 7,652 passing yards and 56 passing TDs against 15 interceptions. He is regarded as one of the top quarterback prospects along with the likes of Justin Fields (Ohio State University), Trey Lance (NDSU), Mac Jones (Alabama Crimson Tide Football Team), and Kyle Trask (University of Florida).

The Jets, under the tutelage of new Head Coach Robert Saleh, are looking to turn things around in the coming months. They are looking to part ways with their current starting quarterback Sam Darnold who has endured a tough time in New York over the last three years.
They were expected to bring in Fields as the number two pick but Wilson has moved ahead in the Draft list. The Jets were also linked with a potential trade deal for wantaway Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.
