With the rising cases of criminal conduct, the streets can barely be deemed ‘safe’. A similar incident occurred to the wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, Zach Pascal. Pascal was robbed and assaulted at gunpoint in Prince George’s County in Maryland. The robbery and assault happened at 2:25 AM.

Zach Pascal has reportedly suffered injuries, but not to a serious degree, and received immediate medical attention. Pascal, being a graduate of Wise High School in Upper Marlboro was all too familiar with the area, yet was unable to avoid this grave situation.

As per a report by 6abc, the Eagles wide receiver was approached by two individuals carrying weapons. The robbers went on to point their weapons at Zach Pascal and demanded that he hand over all his belongings.

The suspects reportedly took Pascal’s diamond necklace back with them. The necklace is estimated to cost close to around $150,000.

As of Saturday evening, no suspects have been arrested. Police in Prince George’s County are still on the lookout for potential suspects and intend to nab the culprits soon.

NFL fans found themselves quite surprised and taken aback by the entire thing. Several of them took to Twitter to express their concern for Zach Pascal and send some good wishes his way.

One user went on to point out, “Nothing good happens after midnight. When will athletes understand this?

A couple of other users seemed to agree with this particular remark, as many went on to emphasize the time of the night, “Why are you out at 2 in the morning. Hope he’s ok but nothing good happens after midnight

Another user wants Zach Pascal to be smart, “What’s he doing out at 2 am? Gotta be smarter but god damn, so happy he’s still here”

Several users just expressed their ‘relief’ over Pascal being okay.

With the wholesome messages directed at him, Pascal is bound to feel better. The fans have been a constant support for these athletes in times of crisis, and hopefully, they will continue to do so.

Team Issues Statement and Offers Assistance to Wide Receiver

The Philadelphia Eagles have been in contact with Pascal ever since the robbery. They went on to issue a statement and confirmed that Pascal is indeed doing ‘fine’ ever since the ordeal he had to go through.
