While they started really well with Lamar Jackson, looking like the star that he is, injuries and offensive scheme limitations saw them drop form in the later stages of the league. Roman has often come under heavy criticism for his schemes, hampering the potential of Jackson. One other thing to note in this situation is the fact that Ravens and Lamar still have not come to any agreement over a contract extension. But the latest news has the fans chirping with excitement.

Fans believe Lamar Jackson will be a Raven for the long-term

But the latest reports have come in like a fresh breeze for the Ravens flock, who are now sold on the idea of a long and prosperous time with Jackson. The superstar retweeted an update about the Ravens search for a new HC. The post stated how Jackson flourished under a ‘pro style’ offense in college under Bobby Petrino. With Roman going away, fans believe the QB will be unleashed.

Another mention of Bobby Petrino and Lamar’s college days came out in the replies as a comparison to Peyton Manning and his playbook.

Petrino is the current offensive coordinator at Texas A&M, a role he has recently accepted after coaching the Missouri State Bears from 2020 to 22, winning a state title in his first season.
