Will Compton a.k.a. the White Chocolate, recently appeared in a podcast, “Bussin’ With The Boys”, where he hit some hard truths for the young QB. He strongly advises Burrow to stay with his current team and not ruin it all by joining another for more money. Compton shined some light on the whole contract restructure, and how it could prevent his team from recruiting better players for this season. He urged Burrow to take a deal similar to Patrick Mahomes with less money. The considerate deal will provide the opportunity to build a better team with a less salary cap for a player, he further added.

Compton added that Burrow has the potential for the biggest deal in the NFL, with $54 million per annum and he could take it as NFL careers are not very sustainable, quoting, “I know you can make 54 million per year…Because the NFL is where your career could end tomorrow.” But he also had the argument that even if Burrow takes a salary cut in the new contract, Burrow will earn $40 million per year, which is more than enough for anybody.

How good are the Bengals looking this season?

Joe Burrow was seen looking incredible while practicing in the offseason. He has gained some extra muscles to gain more power in his throws. The only dilemma that yet remains is his contract negotiations. If he goes “the Tom Brady route” or even takes a deal similar to Patrick Mahomes’, it would rather be beneficial for the team, and it has been proven time and time again. Brady was never the top-earning athlete, yet he had an incredible team.

Joe Burrow is the key to the Bengal’s performance this year. His teammates have grown exponentially as players over the years and their team has an incredible roster. Bengal’s offensive team looks very good with 3 new recruits this season. The defensive team also looks very promising, with 4 incredible draft picks. For the eighth draft pick, the team has recruited a punter. To sum it up, the Bengals have shown impressive growth in recent years, and this upcoming season looks promising for the team.
