Colin Kaepernick gets the ‘Fields’ patronage
Colin Kaepernick’s efficiency at a recent practice intrigued Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields. The Bears QB thought Kaepernick did well in a passing exercise, according to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk. Fields revealed that both he and Kaepernick share a personal quarterback instructor which contributed to the two of them connecting, and Fields attending one of Kaepernick’s workouts.
He mentions, “That was actually my first time meeting him. It was cool meeting him, of course. He’s an icon. It was awesome just to meet him and work with him. He looked pretty good. He looked good, yeah.”

The Bears’ 2nd-year quarterback was in Atlanta training out together with Bears colleagues Darnell Mooney and Cole Kmet, as well as ace quarterback guru Quincy Avery. Kaepernick visited for practice as part of the offseason workout in which he aims to lure an NFL team to give him another shot to play.

Colin last appeared in an NFL game in 2016, starting 11 contests for the San Francisco 49ers. He threw 59.2 percent of his throws for 2,241 yards, 16 scores, and 4 interceptions that season. He also carried 468 yardage and two touchdowns.

While it is unclear whether a team would recruit Kaepernick this offseason. Testimonials from top-tier athletes might provide significant answers to organizations that are skeptical of his abilities. While the quarterback has proven to be an excellent pick, he is also open to becoming a backup.
