The NFL does make dreams come true. While many young men dream of joining this elite league to fulfill their dreams, some want to just give back to their families. And when a mother gets happy due to her kids, it’s an emotion that can’t be explained. The NFL is full of strong mothers, whether we look at Randi Mahomes, mother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, or Dawn Elliott, mother of Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

While both Mahome and Elliot have continually given back to their families, a similar opportunity presented itself in front of a young 22-year-old New York Giants rookie, and the young man made sure to capitalize on his opportunities.

For five years of his life, Thibodeaux never got to have dinner with his mother. They didn’t have a family house, a place for all the family to get together for Christmas or the holidays, and looking back on those days Kayvon Thibodeaux is just happy to provide for his family.

The mothers of the NFL

While most fans might not be aware of this, there is a Professional Football Players Mothers Association. The Association is essentially a support group and an opportunity to network for the mothers of active and retired professional football players. The PFPMA is an organization that will keep these mothers of successful athletes engaged through educational and empowering resources and programs. They provide information and help them navigate the pathways of the business of football to help families build a strong foundation for success.
