Jimmy Garoppolo perhaps might be the most controversial quarterback for the fans. Even in the middle of the playoffs, the fans still cannot decide whether to cheer or boo Garoppolo. The quarterback’s performance has been phenomenal without a doubt.

With Jimmy G leading the charge, the Niners have won all of their big games. Former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman has been very vocal when it comes to Jimmy Garoppolo. In a recent edition of his podcast, Sherman praised the 49ers quarterback again. He thinks that San Francisco should keep the veteran and even let him start games next season. Richard has always had Garoppolo’s back.

But the thing that Richard cannot wrap his head around is why are people questioning Jimmy G’s ability on the field? He has proved himself time and time again, but some people still ostracize the veteran.

During the Richard Sherman Podcast, the CB said, “You have never seen a guy ridiculed this much who keeps winning.” The quarterback has led the 49ers through some big and difficult challenges.

He has even brought the team their second NFC Championship Game in three years. And yet people still criticize him. Granted, Garoppolo did struggle at times. The QB is yet to score a touchdown in the playoffs. He has a total of 303 yards with two interceptions. Jimmy G has a point to prove in the next game.
