“You Guys Were Pretty Tough on Me”: Months After Publishing a Book on Rob Gronkowski’s Childhood, Momma Gronk Does Not Spare Him Even Moments Ahead of His 34th Birthday

Rob Gronkowski is arguably one of the greatest tight ends the game has ever seen. With his on-field partner in crime, Brady, Gronk has gone on to conquer many games. And naturally, Gronk has contributed massively to the number of Super Bowls the duo has won together. With such unparalleled greatness, one might wonder who nurtured such a brilliant athlete. The answer, of course, is Mama Gronk. And, she told a cute story about his NFL legend son.

Close to Gronk’s 34th birthday, Mama Gronk and Gronk appeared on Kay Adams’ Show. On the show, Mama Gronk revealed a cute little anecdote that involved some humbling words for the former tight end.

Mama Gronk took to Kay Adams’ show, ‘Up & Adams’, to talk about how she raised her sons as well as her book on it. She made her appearance ahead of her son’s birthday as well as Mother’s Day. While speaking in particular about Gronk, she shared a playful story about how she used to discipline her son.

The mother and son spoke about a particular green plastic spoon Mama Gronk would use to discipline her children. She jokingly mentioned how she would spank Rob and her other children. She said, “You know you guys were pretty tough on me sometimes. I had my green plastic spoon, you know you start out with like a little spanking and you guys just laughed at me. so then I went to the green plastic spoon and you basically laughed at me too. So it just came it just became a symbol.”

Interestingly, the two guests on Kay Adams’ show share a special connection. While Mother’s Day fell on the Sunday that just went by, so did Gronk’s birthday. He took to Instagram to speak about his love for his mother.

Gronk recently celebrated his 34th birthday and interestingly, also Mother’s Day. On the dual occasion, the former tight end shared a heartwarming post on Instagram. Gronk mentioned how he was celebrating two occasions on the same day. He gave a huge shoutout to his own mother, calling her a “ 4x mom championship level mom.” Furthermore, Gronk also showcased his appreciation to other mothers all over the world and thanked them for raising their children. Finally, he thanked people for their birthday wishes.

Just like his old teammate, Tom Brady, Gronk showcased his love and admiration on Mother’s Day. Furthermore, it remains to be seen what more fun anecdotes will Mama Gronk reveal about her Super Bowl-winning son.
