The Adam Gase-led New York Jets are still the only team in the NFL who are yet to win a game this season. They raced away to a 10-0 lead against Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills last Sunday. However, the home team grew complacent. The Bills fought back to secure a 10-18 win at the MetLife Stadium in Week 6.
GM Joe Douglas had to part with 2 of his star players this season. Safety Jamal Adams joined the Seattle Seahawks in the offseason while RB Le’Veon Bell was signed by reigning champions Kansas City Chiefs.
The Jets currently possess the worst record in the league. If things remain the way they are, it is obvious that the Jets will be given the privilege to make the first NFL draft pick in 2021. And they will be gunning for Trevor Lawrence.

In a recent segment of ESPN’s Get Up, former Baltimore Ravens cornerback-turned-analyst Domonique Foxworth offered his two cents on the in-demand Clemson Tigers star, Trevor Lawrence.
“I do think that he should use his power and leverage and get to a team that can work and right now it looks like the Jets want to pick him up.
“You don’t want to go play for that ‘broken-winged bird’ that is the Jets and tank your career. They’re headed in the wrong direction.”

“You only get one shot at this career and you work your whole life to get this opportunity. You don’t want to let some franchise that doesn’t seem to have their stuff together, at least for the last several decades, ruin that for you….I hope that Trevor Lawrence is wise enough that he uses his power, leverage to get to a good situation,” Foxworth said on the show.

Lawrence has 1,800+ passing yards while playing for Clemson this season. He is joint-second for passing TDs with 17 and has just 2 interceptions and a passer rating of 165.4.
He is, without a doubt, the hottest NCAA college prospect by a mile or so. Even he knows that joining the Jets is not an ideal way to kick his NFL career off.

But only time will tell how Lawrence will navigate out of this tricky situation. Either way, the NFL is going to get a generational talent soon enough.
