The college football scene has seen Deion Sanders stir up a storm. After shifting from Jackson State to the Colorado Buffaloes, Coach Prime has come under scrutiny from other college coaches for the massive exile of scholarship players in the NCAA transfer portal. After their dismal 1-11 season last year, Deion Sanders is looking to shake things up and built from the start in order to produce a roster that can bring glory to the Colorado football program.
But his Colorado master plan faces another hurdle. And it’s not the acquisition of players to build a record-breaking roster for the new season. In fact, it is a problem that Coach Prime has been facing since his Jackson State University days. A problem that carries the chance of aggravation if not taken care of.

Religious followers of Coach Prime know about the complications he suffers from because of previous foot surgery. The surgery led to Sanders experiencing a tough time because of the way the surgery went. This also resulted in him having to amputate two toes on his left foot. And now, the ghost of this haunting past seems to have caught up with Deion Sanders once again.
The 55-year-old HC of the Colorado Buffaloes recently met up with his medical team to address the issue following his amputation. This led to him suffering from pain on a daily basis. While discussing the complications, the medical team talked about how if the injuries do not heal properly, there could be the possibility of more complications taking place. In fact, they felt that Deion Sanders could even “lose that foot” if the issue is not addressed at the right time.
The amputation was a result of a previous foot surgery that Coach Prime had gone through during his Jackson State days.

Coach Prime endured severe physical hardship
The initial surgery that Sanders had was to fix a foot injury back last fall. But the recovery from that surgery did not age well. While struggling to get his foot to heal, Coach Prime made his way around Jackson State in a wheelchair and golf cart last season. After his initial surgery, he was diagnosed with three life-threatening femoral arterial blood clots. And not only this, but he also suffered from compartment syndrome, causing increased pressure in his leg and resulting in limited blood flow. The recovery from these complications has been difficult on Sanders psychologically and emotionally. And the road to recovery will be a long one for Coach Prime.
While fans will pray for Sanders to make a speedy recovery from his injuries, they will at the same time hope that it does not cause a hindrance in his master plan for the revival of Colorado’s football program in the coming days ahead.
