NFL broadcaster Tony Kornheiser decoded why Bill Belichick and the Patriots are failing in the new season. Belichick’s men have not found an ideal QB candidate like Tom Brady. The 45 YO NFL legend Brady had a dominant role in their successful years in the past. However, the Patriots have not found similar success with their current QB Mac Jones.

The 74 YO said the coach has a challenging situation. They lack a playmaker QB. “The point is, you can’t replace Tom Brady. People can sit here and tell me from now till next year what a great coach Bill Belichick is, and he is a great coach. But Tom Brady doesn’t grow on trees. You can’t pluck him like fruit. He’s not renewable. For 20 years, he was great,” Kornheiser added.
Bill Belichick has to fix QB concerns
The Patriots have to address the issue quickly. At present, they are ranked fourth in the AFC East. They won three and lost four. On Tuesday night, they suffered a humiliating 33-14 defeat against the Bears.
Meanwhile, Kornheiser said Patriots had the luxury of a great QB, Tom Brady in the past. At present, it is difficult to handle the team because they had an amazing one. “They will try like Mac Jones. They’re going to try Bailey Zappy. When you have a great QB, you can be somebody and when you don’t, it’s difficult. They are searching for a quarterback,” he pointed out.

New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Green Bay Packers are the three top teams in the NFL. They stand at an identical position in the league after seven games. They all won three and lost four games.

However, it is a major concern for the fans because their favorite team’s race to the playoff is now uncertain. Patriots have to find alternative options quickly. Otherwise, they may have to bear the pain of a heartbreak season, if things continue this way.
