Travis bought his favorite kicks the first year he became a Pro. Kelce bought the Nike Air Mag Marty McFly, what he considers, “the coolest shoes I’d ever seen in my life”. In a conversation with his older brother, Jason Kelce on the New Heights, “You bought those in your rookie year?!” asked rhetorically Jason to Travis on New Heights.
Jason got pretty annoyed when he learned about his brother’s purchase. Especially after learning from someone else, “Somebody came up to me and told me you had bought those shoes.” Jason recalls, “I looked them up and saw how much they were.” Having learned the cost of those shoes Jason continues, “I remember being like what the f*** Travis, spending that much money on shoes”.

He advises young rookies to take note from his mistakes and avoid enduring the situations he did. “All of a sudden you play on Sunday at one o’clock, you are out of the game by five and you don’t gotta show up until Wednesday”, says Travis on New Heights, reflecting on his early days at Kansas City Chiefs. Travis admits he was one of the many who would not show until Wednesday after a Sunday night game.
