The $40 million worth of Netflix’s docuseries, ‘Quarterback’, which gave an unprecedented peek into the lives of three prominent quarterbacks during the past season featured Mahomes’ charismatic journey to the Superbowl win.

As Mahomes is gearing up for the new season, he is in the thick of training camp, determined to continue his winning streak. Amidst all the prep, a sweet gesture from an avid fan of the QB could lift his spirits a bit more.

Ian Mercer, a young boy and an avid fan of the QB poured out his admiration in words that could melt anyone’s hearts.  The heartfelt letter that is making rounds on the internet opens with Ian gushing over Mahomes.

‘’I have been a Chiefs fan since 2013. When Alex Smith got injured I wondered who the quarterback would be and how good they would be. But when I saw how good you played I knew Chiefs were in good hands. The next year, you guys won the  Super Bowl. You have always been inspirational to me because how good you played.’’

The young admirer always had an unwavering trust in the QB. He said in the letter, “Also, all the other coaches laughed at Andy Reid for drafting you. but you showed them how good you were. You are my favorite football player’’.

The QB took rugby balls from the children who were elated to see him as he proceeded to sign his autograph. Mahomes was seen equally happy as a smile graced his face.
