Every NFL team has a voracious fanbase, filled with both common people as well as celebrities. One such team with a very illustrious fan base is the New England Patriots. Since the era of Tom Brady, the Patriots have garnered some of the most fans due to the excellence of the QB and his team. Moreover, even celebrities aren’t immune to the Brady fever. One such celebrity is the celebrated comic, Bill Burr.

During the Kenny Aronoff Sessions, Bill and Kenny spoke about the comedian’s love for sports. The comedian was adamant about his love for the Patriots and mentioned the kind of worthy competition Brady would lose against. Burr gave a nod to Eli Manning and mentioned how brilliant the New York Giants QB was against the Patriots.
Moreover, while speaking about the two lost Super Bowls, Kenny Aronoff even made a sly unwitting comment about Delfategate. The infamous incident that took place ages ago has always been a sore topic for Patriots fans. The Patriots’ beloved QB had received a lot of hate for the alleged ball tampering through deflating football for the purpose of making play easier. The host went on to question Burr and let slip the word ‘deflate’. This brought about an interesting barrage of reactions from Burr. He seemed amused by the exact words used by Aronoff. “
He even had a hilarious description of Deflategate and said, “I know what you’re doing there, did you say that by accident or you’re giving me shit for Deflategate. Arguably, the biggest trumped-up charges. Yeah well, they’re just like oh yeah, their football is way less that’s why they won by 35. Oh Is that what it was? I thought it was cause you guys got your a** kicked evidently.” Burr was adamant that Brady’s Patriots were winning simply because of their skill and dominance. Interestingly, the Deflategate controversy had earned Brady a lot of flak. He even went to the extent of making an apology that subtly referenced the whole incident.

Brady’s Deflategate ‘Apology’
The Deflategate incident had been one of the few times Brady’s stellar reputation has been muddled. It came as a shock to the whole football fraternity when someone like Brady faced such charges. The QB had been suspended for the first four games of the 2016 season. However, Brady has never admitted to any of the accusations and has even vehemently denied them. However, when he returned, Brady put out a large message on Facebook that consisted of an apology. Brady mentioned that he was sorry for all the trouble caused to the league. He also had an apology for people who were supposedly hurt by the incidents that transpired.
All in all, Brady had put out an apology before he got back into the game. However, the QB has maintained absolute defiance against the charges of Deflategate. While the incident accosted the Patriots a million dollars, and two draft picks, they were able to rally and go on to win the Super Bowl of the 2016 season. In spite of their accolades, Deflategate remains to be the one black stain on the pure reputation that Tom Brady has culminated.
