While uncertainties are looming around Odell Beckham Jr’s acquisition, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has added a veteran talent to the squad. Long-time Indianapolis wide receiver TY Hilton joined the team to give his master touch in the final phase of the 2022 season. And guess what? Fans were in utter disbelief reacting to the news and heaped praises for the management eying for the ultimate title.
The Cowboys are currently second in the NFC East with a season record of 10-3. As a result, quick actions are necessary to better their chances for a playoff berth, hence the move.

Meanwhile, this would be the first team Hilton signed after spending his entire NFL career inside the Colts’ locker room. Last year he was mired with injuries and subsequently went unsigned the entire offseason. The Cowboys disclosed this news to the outside world on Monday.

Head coach Mike McCarthy praised the decision and mentioned that his addition happened at the right time. “Great addition,” McCarthy said. “We’ll get him out there Wednesday and get him acclimated. … He had a workout. Everything passed with flying colors. The timing is right. He’s ready to go.” he added.
Last season, the 33-year-old caught 23 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games. He was back in mid-October after being placed in the injured reserve. Unfortunately, the veteran didn’t get much activity to showcase his skills. During his illustrious career of 10 seasons at Indianapolis, the four-time Pro Bowler registered 631 passes for 9,691 yards and 53 touchdowns.
Similarly, if he continues to blaze in the remaining four games of the season, Hilton might surpass the 10,000 yards mark. Meanwhile, according to his latest contract, the veteran is assured of a maximum amount of $1.5 million. For the remaining games, Hilton will make a guaranteed sum of $600,000 and the remaining $700,000 in playoff incentives.
Fans are overjoyed with TY Hilton securing a spot in the Cowboys roster
The NFL world was closely monitoring the movements of the Cowboys after rumors of the OBJ signing took rounds on the internet. However, this addition might prove sufficient for the team to wrap up the season on a high note. Fans were thrilled to welcome this veteran.
