The Panthers have not been in a playoff since 2017, which led them to sign this rising talent to their roster with such a lucrative deal along with a signing bonus of $24.6. Young was the starter quarterback for two years under the guidance of Nick Saban and managed to set a mark in history by winning the prestigious Heisman Trophy after throwing for 4,8272 yards and 47 touchdowns. These achievements let the Panthers trade him as their No. 1 overall pick, alongside Matt Corral and Andy Dalton.

Young is making the most of a great opportunity by showcasing his skills under the guidance of the current head coach, Frank Reich. After a training session on Tuesday, Young sat down for an interview with ESPN and shared some of his past struggles and experiences, including his previous Door Dash job during his freshman year in Tuscaloosa, where he worked to earn extra money.

“Honestly, I would only have a mask on and a hoodie and I would only accept drop-it-at-my-door orders. For the most part, I never got recognized. “It was before NIL. I just wanted to have a little extra money.”

The past few seasons have been tough for Panthers fans. In 2021, the team lost their final seven games, and in the previous season, they lost the first two games. Having Young by their side is like a ray of hope for them.

Recently, Young joined his NFL training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. While Carolina’s veterans arrived on Tuesday, the Panthers will have their full team practice on Wednesday. Young sees this as an opportunity for both individual and collective growth. He made impressive throws in 7-on-7 drills, and on 11-on-11 drills, his moves were more accurate and polished, which steals the show.
