Despite his absence from the NFL, Colin Kaepernick remains the talk of the town. He has been a popular figure in his time with the 49ers. But his work as an activist adversely affected his career. Even though he has been away from the football turf, he has kept the door to a return open.

In 2016, when Colin took a knee and gained significant popularity, rap star Snoop Dogg gave his opinion on Kaepernick’s protests. He understood his situation, but he had some concerns too.

He mentioned, “In the beginning, I understood it thoroughly. I’m one who’s, you know, a situation of the police. I deal with it and I understand what he was coming from. But at the same time, it’s like you have to really stand forward.”

“I don’t believe he can do that and play football at the same time. There’s too many rules and regulations and things that he has to deal with as opposed to being a revolutionary, but I do appreciate the fact that he brought something to America’s attention that needed to be brought.”

The rap star further said that since he is only one person, it is now up to the rest of the civilized world to understand and do their part.
