Tyreek “Cheetah” Hill’s ascent in the NFL has been remarkable. His exceptional speed and agility caught the attention of scouts. It led to his selection by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Hill sought to share his perspectives and experiences beyond the football field as his career blossomed. This desire led him to launch his podcast, ‘It Needed to be Said’. With the podcast, Hill aimed to challenge conventional narratives and shed light on often overlooked issues.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver recently hosted a special podcast episode with Michael Vick as the guest. They candidly talked about Vick’s personal life and the fascinating stories surrounding it. Vick shared various stories, but one anecdote about his Maybach purchase stood out to Tyreek and the listeners. During the podcast, Vicks said he regretted spending $300K on the Maybach 30 as a reward after signing a lucrative contract extension. Vick and his friends were driving around Virginia in their flashy $300K car when the police stopped them. The story became comical.

“I think my biggest purchase. . . I bought a Maybach, I was severely out of my ballpark, but you get the extension and feel like you got to do something. Felt like everything I’ve worked for is worth it. We’re going to Virginia, me driving the car, and we get stopped by the police. The police just walked up to the car; he was like, ‘Yo, I stopped y’all, I just needed to know. . . bro, what type of car is this.” “I almost had a nervous breakdown for no reason,” shared Vick, who went as far as questioning his choice to invest in the car due to the spotlight it had attracted.

Tagovailoa over Mahomes?

In 2023, Tua Tagovailoa had a breakout season that left fans and analysts in awe. He showed that he’s a strong player on the field. Even the star wide receiver, who initially had concerns about catching passes from Tagovailoa, is now at ease with his new teammate.

During the Dolphins’ voluntary OTAs in late May, Hill informed reporters,” [Tagovailoa’s] one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the NFL.” He went further on it when his cohost Julian Collins asked him to compare Tagovailoa’s arm strength to Chiefs #QB1 Patrick Mahomes’ in his podcast’s introductory episode! He said, “Obviously, like I’m gonna go with 15 as the strongest arm but as far as accuracy-wise, I’m going with Tua all day.”

However, many fans believe that Tua’s success should be attributed partly to the team’s acquisition of Tyreek Hill from the Kansas City Chiefs and the emergence of Jaylen Waddle as a critical player.
