Home/NFL

Paxton Lynch hasn’t had the best of times when it comes to establishing himself wherever he goes. Players from the NFL usually find no difficulties in adjusting to different leagues. But Lynch, a former first-round draft pick, hasn’t seen much success despite moving out of the NFL.

The former Broncos QB’s career highlights have been a string of unfortunate circumstances. At present, Lynch created a record no player would want. No athlete would want to put themselves in the former QB’s shoes. While leaving the NFL at a young age itself is disappointing, not finding success in other leagues is a tragedy. So, what career tragedy has Lynch recently suffered?

One would assume that a former first-round pick would do well in the CFL or XFL. But in Paxton Lynch’s case, the QB was unable to establish himself no matter where he went. At present, in his XFL debut game with the Orlando Guardians, the QB threw a costly interception in the third quarter. Soon after, Lynch was pulled from the game.

Being benched in a debut game is rather sad. But that’s not the only disappointing statistic the QB has accomplished.

With his XFL benching, Lynch has become the first QB to be benched in the NFL, CFL, XFL, and USFL. It’s unbelievable that this is the same QB Jerry Jones regretted not trading up for in 2016. Here’s how the NFL world reacted to this update.

Amidst the trolling, Lynch still found some support among fans

Fans had a myriad of reactions to Paxton Lynch’s unfortunate feat. One user asked:

One can’t be too sure of the tone this fan took.

Another user did not hold back from saying,

But some fans believe that Lynch had potential in the NFL.

While fans could speculate about what might have occurred if Lynch had gone to the Cowboys, nothing can be changed now. Paxton Lynch’s professional career has been a series of disappointing events. Hopefully, the QB will find his rhythm in the XFL. After all, the 29-year-old’s pickings are slim, and he doesn’t have much of a choice if he wishes to continue playing.
