In the Chiefs-Bengals matchup last night, the Patrick Mahomes-led squad bagged a massive win. The Chiefs brought Cincinnati Bengals down to their knees finally. Understandably, the celebration was going to be mind-blowing. But things escalated quickly near Arrowhead Stadium. When fans came to know about the fiery incident, they could not stop but make uncanny relations with the Philly fandom.

The Eagles fans are known for their rowdy celebrations. And we can’t blame them because witnessing their favorite teams win is certainly the most euphoric feeling. And after Philadelphia’s impressive win against the San Francisco 49ers, there was no stopping them. As a result, Twitter users assumed that Chiefs fans accidentally lit the fire while attempting to imitate the Phillies’ magnificent method of celebrating.

But Chiefs fans did not ignite the fire. It was a grass fire that started outside GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. The fire crew was summoned at field entrance  7 at Arrowhead at 9:48 p.m.

The fire crew acted quickly and were able to bring the situation under control.

Authorities believe that it was the fireworks from the game that may have caused the grass fire. However, the exact cause of the fire is not known. Also, dry weather, lack of water, and wind made it difficult to bring the situation under control.

Just like the stiff winds acted as a catalyst for the fire, they also became the cause of defeat for the Cincinnati Bengals. The winds hindered range and accuracy, which brought the unfavoured penalty. After Mahomes ran out of bounds at the Cincinnati 42-yard line, Bengals defender Joseph Ossai drew a 15-yard penalty, setting up Harrison Butker’s 45-yard field goal with three seconds remaining. That was the worst mistake the team made. Additionally, it came at the worst time.
