WWE Hall of Famer and Wrestling icon Ric Flair was recently giving sage advice to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The 73-year-old is a “stylin’, profilin’ and limousine riding” Atlanta Falcons fan and shared his thoughts on the Packers QB and his future in the NFL. The 16-time world champion is also a fan of Rodgers and his contributions to the game over the years.

During his appearance on the Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored and talking about Rodgers and his impending decision, Flair states, “He definitely shouldn’t retire. I don’t know what he’s thinking. I am a big fan. It looks like they are going to do everything possible to keep him in Green Bay.”
He adds that if the Packers manage to retain both wide receivers, Randall Cobb and Davante Adams, he would suggest Rodgers stay on with the team.
In the past, the wrestling icon has been associated with calling out the Packers when they faced the Falcons in the NFC Championship game in 2017. Luckily on that occasion, it was Flair’s Falcons who won the game but unfortunately fell short of winning the Super Bowl LI. Flair and his co-host Mark Madden, though, made notable points about the Packers-Rodgers situation.
Aaron Rodgers contract situation could affect his teammates
The podcast co-host Madden raised an interesting point during his conversation with Flair about WR Adams and his franchise tag. He states that if Rodgers signs a big-money contract then he will be taking up portions of money that would have been used for Adams renewal. Madden also adds that he believes that the reigning league MVP is more likely to stay on with the franchise.

Madden adds that he believes the Packers franchise is one wideout away from being potential Super Bowl contenders. He believes it will free up WR Davante Adams and provide more passing outlets for Rodgers to affect their offense.
Flair was quick to suggest a surprise name for the Packers search in renegade WR Antonio Brown.
While Flair’s wild take gives Packers fans something to think about, it might be a solution. The Packers-Rodgers contract situation will be entering its final resolution soon, and it will be a decision for the future of the Wisconsin-based franchise.
