Deion Sanders is on the path to recovery. After undergoing surgery on his left leg to rectify blood clots, the Coach was released from UC Health at the University of Colorado Anschutz earlier this month. Coach Prime’s fiancee, Tracey Edmonds, shared the update on Instagram announcing his release from the hospital and arrival at home to rest. Days later, he also showed up at the Buffaloes’ indoor facility to watch the practice sessions. 

As the 55-year-old is taking one step at a time and rebuilding his health, Sanders has introduced his beloved mother, who showed up at the Colorado base to see her son, to his 3.4 Million followers in a hilarious clip he shared on his Instagram.

In the clip captioned, “Boy….you some kind of a son,” Sanders and his mother Connie Knight are caught in a classic mama-son banter. Neither one of them backs down, going back and forth, and can also be seen both ending up in fits of laughter. The clip was such a heartwarming moment between Sanders and his mother, who instilled resilience and strength into the Coach as he once admitted.

His mother has consistently served as a source of inspiration and strength. Once inquired about his biggest influence, it did not take long for Coach to answer. My mama, because she has always been resilient, she always worked and sacrificed so that we could have., Sanders said.

Connie Knight and her former partner  Mims Sanders split when Sanders was just two years old. The coach was raised since then by his mother and her partner Willie Knight. With the Coach sharing the heartfelt moment with Mama Prime, fans were elated and excited to meet the significant person in Sanders’ life.

The fans flocked to the comments to express their excitement.
