Tom Brady coming out of retirement was one of the most cherishing moments in the history of the NFL. When everyone thought it was all over, the GOAT surprised his fans with his decision. The head coach of Tampa Bay, Bruce Arians, has a similar take on the matter.

If not Tom Brady, then Who?

No doubt, Tom Brady shall forever remain an asset to the game. Whoever has him as the signal-caller the team shall become one of the greatest in the league. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had somewhat similar feelings before Brady decided to retire.

The news was an extreme shocker for the 68-year-old head coach Bruce Arians. He said that the management started to uncover as many stones as possible once Brady left the zone. “We would’ve turned over every stone… GM Jason Licht did his calls. We were in the midst of all that stuff when Tom decided to come back and thank God we could say, ‘No, thanks, brother. We’re out of it.’” Arians explained the entire atmosphere inside the management room.

The search for a new quarterback included free agents like Teddy Bridgewater, who recently signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins. He was one of the backup options for the Bucs to get him in place of Brady for the upcoming season. The list even went onto Deshaun Watson and Baker Mayfield, who is currently playing for the Cleveland Browns.

Moreover, the Bucs were on the verge to make a desperate deal, and only two days were left for the free agency to begin. With Brady’s return, players like wide receiver Chris Godwin, cornerback Carlton Davis got a retention card from the team.
