Lamar Jackson has been treated to a season of uninterrupted chaos. If reportedly sour contract negotiations weren’t enough, the QB was plagued by injuries that sidelined him when the Ravens needed him at the helm. Now, with a non-exclusive franchise tag hovering over Jackson, his future hinges on potential offers from other teams.
If other franchises in the league are interested in acquiring the QB, the Baltimore Ravens could either match their contract or refuse it and acquire two first-round picks instead. After his 2019 MVP-winning season, many assumed that Jackson was a permanent fixture in the Ravens’ future. However, things don’t always go as planned, especially in the NFL. While no franchise has spoken about potentially acquiring Jackson, not-so-subtle lobbying from former players and league Insiders may hint at a potential move. Here’s a breakdown of the speculation.

Lamar Jackson may not be content at present, but could that change?
Lamar Jackson could be a major asset to any team that acquires him, and of that, there is no doubt. But would it be worth stepping onto a complex web, also known as the QB’s allegedly complicated relationship with the team? Perhaps. Recently, former Patriots star Rob Ninkovich floated the idea of the QB potentially heading to New England.
While Ninkovich may be rooting for a Patriots-Jackson move because of his allegiance to his former team, what do NFL insiders have to say?

In conversation with Ninkovich on ESPN’s morning show ‘Get Up’, host Mike Greenberg chipped in to say, “To be clear, we haven’t heard any rumblings about New England being involved in this [relating to Ninkovich’s comments on Jackson]. And they did just take Mac Jones.” But co-host Dan Graziano quickly chimed, “No, I would not rule that out.” If the insiders aren’t ruling out the possibility, should fans hold out hope? Here’s what the NFL world had to say.
Fans offer a mixed bag of reactions to a potential Jackson-Patriots move

While Jackson still has time to receive potential offers, the situation he’s in may make teams second-guess a potential attempt. Navigating a deal with the Ravens who may want to match offers could prove to be too taxing. On the other hand, teams like the Patriots could potentially choose to focus on building a foundation with their current QBs. The situation may not be ideal for Lamar Jackson at present and fans will have one ear on the ground concerning updates that could change the QB’s future.
