The injury of Tua Tagovailoa dealt an enormous blow to the Dolphins. The 24-year-old was touted as one of the next big things in the NFL. However, he suffered a concussion and later endured a scary injury against the Bengals. Tagovailoa’s participation for the remaining season is a doubter.

Earlier, the Dolphins formed their team by making Tua the No.1 QB. After his absence, Mike McDaniel and Co. are on the lookout for a suitable replacement. They can’t just bring in any normal replacement, as they lost an impact player. Experience is also one factor that the coach may denote for the squad. The rest of the candidates lined up for the Tagovailoa role have played less than five games combined in the NFL. Their inexperience leaves a huge vacuum in the already struggling Dolphins squad.

Tua Tagovailoa was a crucial link for the Dolphins

Miami fans and analysts ask the coach why they have taken an enormous risk in allowing Tua to play against the Bengals. Even though they point out the role of the doctor who cleared the QB, the obvious reason for his inclusion was also the talent and the reliability factor that the young athlete possessed in the team. His absence is indeed a big setback, considering the lack of depth and experience in the squad.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins have worked out QBs Ben DiNucci, Jake Fromm, and Reid Sinnett, as per the wire. They already signed Sinnett to the practice squad. The 25-year-old joined the team on October 3. Earlier, Tua was replaced by Teddy Bridgewater and set to play in the remaining games.
