Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, players for the Colorado Buffs, are eagerly anticipating this coming Sunday’s game. The two youngsters are both contenders for this year’s Heisman trophy, which is awarded annually to the league’s best players. Hunter plays dual roles for the Buffs as a wide receiver (WR) and cornerback, and he currently stands at the 13th position in the odds for the Heisman trophy.

The Colorado Buffs have had a promising start to the season. Their initial victory against the TCU Horned Frogs was a notable surprise in the NCAA division. On September 9th, they secured a convincing 36-14 win against Nebraska. The Buffs are showing strong potential for a successful season and could emerge as top contenders for the championship this year.

On the latest episode of ‘First Take’ on ESPN, Travis and Shedeur discussed how they value each other’s contributions in the game. Shedeur said, “There’s nobody in the country taking as many snaps as he is and dominating as much as he is,” when asked about Travis. Shedeur’s odds of winning the Heisman trophy range from 2800 to +2000, while Travis’ odds are at +3500. Both of them had high praise for each other and expressed their excitement to perform against the CSU Rams this coming Sunday.

The conversation then shifted back to the ongoing situation between Deion Sanders and Jay Norvell, and the reporters wanted to know Shedeur’s thoughts on it. Deion’s 22-year-old son shared his perspective on how the respect for the team as a whole has been eroded since Norvell made harsh remarks about his father. Norvell recently took a jab at Sanders by suggesting that he should remove his glasses and hat when speaking to adults, a lesson he learned from his mother. Shedeur didn’t take this comment lightly and stated, “We respect the team and the opposing players, but when you make it personal, then all respect is lost.”

Colorado Buff’s future in the league

The team has been playing exceptionally well this season. Their games have been tactfully and strategically planned out by none other than 2-time Super Bowl winner, ‘Coach Prime’. While Sanders has been on the receiving end of a lot of fire this season, he has made sure that his team’s performance speaks up for him.

The Buffs made their impact when they defeated the TCU Frogs by a close-knit score of 45-42. Nobody in the football community expected them to be the victors, but with Sanders’ guidance and efficient playmaking, they made it happen and shut all the noise out. This season already looks good for the Buffs but it is yet to see if they will be able to keep their consistency up throughout the year or not.
