Jerry Jones is vocal about his future plans and expectations from his team, the Dallas Cowboys. As the team enters a tough spot after their wide receivers Michael Gallup and James Washington sustain injuries, he is not worried. In fact, he is not pressing the panic button to get a new WR. He makes his thoughts about a new WR in the team fairly clear.
Jerry Jones understands his business better than anyone else. Moreover, he has created one of the most expensive teams in the world and no one can boss him around on his decisions. Consequently, Jones’ decision to not panic about getting a new WR even though his star WRs are injured speaks a lot about his firm character.

Although there has been no direct statement about signing a new WR, Jones senses no urgency to sign a WR. The Texas tycoon said, “It doesn’t create an urgency for us at a veteran receiver. We like these young guys.”
He added, “We anticipated a little numbers problem on keeping receivers or not keeping the receivers we wanted. This may be just even out.” As Jones clears the air around getting a new WR out, the rumors of OBJ’s fate of getting a Cowboys’ contract look weak. Further, Jones has shown faith in the new WR CeeDee Lamb who replaces Amari Cooper as the starting WR.
Will Jerry Jones sign OBJ amidst the WR crisis in the Cowboys camp?
Jones shut the possibility of getting a new WR by saying that the team does not need any veteran WRs. This comes after Odell Beckham Jr. was hyping the former Cowboys legend Dez Bryant in the hope that the Cowboys sign him again as he posts an intense workout video.

Moreover, Gallup is set to recover in the coming weeks before the regular season kicks in. James Washington is the real concern here as his foot fracture might take 6-10 weeks to recover. However, this is not prompting Jones to sign OBJ or any veteran WR considering his armory is recovering fast.
To sum up, Jones is confident about CeeDee Lamb handling the WR front and doesn’t feel the need to sign a veteran or new WR altogether. With Gallup in rehab and making his comeback soon, Washington’s injury won’t put the Cowboys in a desperate situation.
