Highlighting the dispute Jones shared, “I don’t think there’s no animosity between me and the Chief’s organization. I think there’s just a, you know, a little disagreement. You know, I’m asking for a raise. They feel like this is what I deserve. I feel like I deserve more.“

However, the differences in Chiefs’ and Jones’ perspectives, boiled down to a point, which can lead to the Chiefs potentially missing out on Jones in their first game against the Detroit Lions. Moreover, this is just the tip of the iceberg, tight end Travis Kelce faced an injury during the practice session, which led to the speculations of him missing out on the game against the Lions. While fans are happy to see Jones out and around, they admit they would be happier if they see him on the field.

Travis Kelce’s recent knee hyperextension in practice has cast doubt on his availability for Week 1, while Chris Jones’s ongoing contract dispute appears likely to keep him out of the game as well.
