The Dallas Cowboys took an embarrassing loss in their last game. The 10-4 team was taken to overtime by the failing Jaguars. The Jerry Jones-led team has been keeping afloat with 10 wins, but there seems to be something wrong with the way the team has been functioning on the field.
According to the fans, the center of the loss and the team’s performance is the team’s, QB Dak Prescott. Prescott faced a lot of flak after the loss against one of the most average teams in the NFL. However, Jones has been defending the player and his actions on the field.

After the loss against the Jaguars, Dak Prescott faced a lot of flak from fans on how he played. The main reason his play was being questioned was because of the 2 crucial interceptions that happened. However, the owner and GM of the ball team, Jerry Jones, thought the QB played really well.
On ‘105.3 The Fan’, Jones shared his thoughts about how the quarterback performed. He mentioned that he was happy with the way Prescott was playing. Jones thought that the quarterback was playing a winning game and even applauded the quarterback’s decision-making on the field. He even said, “We can win with him playing like that,” per 94 WIP Sports Radio. Furthermore, the interceptions that naysayers seem to claim were his fault did not seem like it.

Crucial interceptions and shifting blame
The blame for both interceptions was unfairly attached to Prescott. The focus was on the second interception as the Jaguars picked it up and scored the winning touchdown in OT because of it. However, it is very apparent that both interceptions were not entirely the QB’s fault. Furthermore, the second interception was very clearly a fault on the receiving end. The unfortunate part for the Cowboys was that the second interception that happened caused the OT win for the Jaguars.
With the insane amount of scrutiny the QB has come under, it is hard to believe that he was not at fault. However, a big vote of confidence from Jerry Jones should be enough to convince the naysayers that he played well enough. However, this loss might affect the Cowboys’ playoff chances. The only question that remains is how much tougher is it going to get for the Cowboys to make the playoffs.
