With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers facing their divisional rivals, the Atlanta Falcons, Tom Brady took to Twitter and Instagram to post this unique ’28-3′ remembrance poster with a Star Wars theme. Complete with a Falcon riding a Millenium Falcon, and Brady on what we can only describe as a Tie fighter shooting footballs, the ship displays the score ’28-3′ in the midst of a score of random numbers. Even at a difficult time in his life and career, it doesn’t seem like Brady will let his rivals forget their failures against him. And what a day it was too!

For the ones who do not know what ’28-3′ is, we need a small trip down memory lane. February 5, 2017, Super Bowl LI between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. Brady and the Patriots come to the game hoping to win their 5th ring, while the Falcons hope to win their first. All goes well for the Falcons for much of the game, and it seemed like the Falcons might just win their first Super Bowl. But alas, TB12 had other plans.
In the third quarter, the Falcons led the Patriots 28-3. But after a flurry of great throws from Brady, and some great defensive plays from the Patriots’ defense, they made the largest comeback in NFL history. The Patriots would go on to win 34-28 in overtime.
Since then, the 28th of March held a special place in the hearts of fans, and even Brady, who occasionally indulged in the meme culture and took a dig at the Falcons. Take a look at Brady’s Instagram story from 2021.

Sunday’s game provides an opportunity for both sides, in different aspects as well. As the two clash to determine who takes the lead in the NFC South division, bragging rights are also at stake. Brady has won every encounter he’s had against Atlanta, so the Falcons will be very motivated to end that streak. And the Bucs will surely be looking to end their 2 game losing streak against a very difficult opponent. Hot-lanta has kept a tight scoreline in all 4 of their games, so it will be interesting to see the Bucs approach.
