After being picked in the 2020 NFL draft, LB Willie Gay has been an excellent addition to the Chiefs. In a brutal clash, Jacksonville Jaguars WR Christian Kirk knocked the wind off Gay, who went crashing down. As prayers took flight from the hearts of Chiefs fans, he held his stomach clearly in pain. It remains to be seen how severe the injury would be, but this much is clear that he is out for today’s game.

With a lot of careless moves and mistakes, the first quarter was a downer. In the second quarter, the Jaguars inaugurated the match with 6 points. As the game entered the second half, however, the Chiefs managed to score a touchdown, providing some relief to fans. At the nine-yard line, Mahomes found Travis Kelce on the right, who ran in for the touchdown. The Kelce-Mahomes partnership which set the foundation for the Chiefs’ 2022 Super Bowl win seemed to be back.
This remarkable achievement surpasses the previous record held by Len Dawson and Otis Taylor, who had 46 touchdown connections. As a result, Mahomes and Kelce now standalone as the all-time leaders in touchdown receptions in the history of the franchise. The duo’s performance has now placed them in the fourth position in NFL history among quarterback-tight end duos, highlighting their exceptional on-field partnership.
