This year’s Oscars witnessed a dramatic moment after Hollywood superstar Will Smith slapped stand-up comedian Chris Rock during the show. It was a shocking incident for all the spectators worldwide. Even players from the sports fraternity, including the NFL stars, came forward with their views.

In a popular talk show, I Am Athlete, veterans from the NFL discussed the incident broadly and made their conclusions. The former wide receiver, Chad Johnson, was the one in the spotlight for making a blunt opinion on the matter.
What does the NFL legend Ochocinco have to say about the incident?
The wide receiver who goes by the name Chad Ochocinco made his appearance on the talk show. Several other players like Pacman Jones, DJ Williams, and Omar Kelly discussed Will Smith and Chris Rock’s slapping incident at the 2022 Oscars. Chad Johnson said that all the A-list celebrities present at the show were “dramatic” and made unnecessary reactions.
“The people at the Oscars, they are so dramatic. I was traumatized when he went, he could have killed Chris Rock. Oh, they are so dramatic, and all the A-list celebrities, that are coming out, or I’m not sure who’s interviewing them. Everybody has a history of doing something wrong” Johnson said.
“Every last one, which is why I can’t talk because I mean everybody has a history of doing something” he added along with other celebrities on the show.
Even though Will Smith receiving the best actor award was never the focus of social media, his violent behavior did grab lots of attention. The Men in Black star took to the stage and slapped Chris Rock because of a joke he made about Will’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith. Jada is suffering from a hair loss condition, and Rock’s sarcastic remarks irked Smith to get up from his seat.

Many people came forward in support, while many opposed his actions. But Chad Johnson was talking about the celebrities who were reacting to the incident and stated that all of them were unnecessarily ‘dramatic’.

The 44-year-old alumnus of Oregon State University was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the second round of the 2001 NFL draft. He played for the Bengals for ten seasons. In 2011, Johnson got traded to the New England Patriots, for whom he played in Super Bowl XLVI.
