The 2022 Oscars was as bizarre as it could get. Will Smith made headlines after he slapped comedian host Chris Rock on stage and then climbed the same stage to receive his first-ever Oscar. Although Rock forgave the Oscar winner, Smith got banned from the Oscars gala and other Academy events for 10 years.

It was shocking to see the two in a beef on stage, however, it won’t be that shocking when it comes to football. The two are said to follow teams that have been rivals for ages. Yes, Will Smith and Chris Rock follow two NFC East teams whose fans don’t really get along.

The Academy Award-winning actor and the Bad Boys star Will Smith has been born and raised in Philadelphia. Being known for his athletic persona, Smith was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia 76ers. However, on the flip side, comedian Chris Rock is known to be a big Dallas Cowboys follower.

The first-ever notable moment produced by the two teams was in 1979 when Tony Franklin kicked what was then the longest field goal (59 yards) in Eagles history to help the team win their first game at the Texas Stadium. It was a big night for the Eagles since the franchise was on road to Dallas with a three-game losing streak.

The last time the two sides met was in January 2022. The Dak Prescott led Cowboys claimed the victory over the Eagles by 26-51. Prescott hurled a total of five touchdowns and led the franchise to a 12-5 record and into the Wildcard Round.

Will Smith hasn’t scored many wins over Chris Rock when it comes to the beef between their NFL favorites. Since the Dallas Cowboys leads the series by 72-54 against their Divisional Rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles.
