Gisele started her modeling career in her early teens, traveling as far as Japan for her early gigs. From the long and hard road to stardom and reaching the pinnacle of the fashion world to becoming a mother of two, and finally ending a 13-year marriage with an NFL icon after a much-publicized divorce; there is nothing that can stop Gisele Bündchen from attaining success. And she has the simplest formula for that.

The rest of the world may call it a formula. For the Brazilian ramp walk queen, it’s just her mental makeup. In her 2018 book, ‘Lessons: My Path To A Meaningful Life’, the former Victoria’s Secret bombshell laid out the secret to happiness despite the hardships life has to offer on the way.

2022 was quite the year for Gisele. The 42-year-old had to make one of her biggest life choices after her husband, Tom Brady, refused to retire. The power couple divorced in October last year. And then the NFL world watched in astonishment as Bündchen made an incredible comeback in the fashion world. How does she do it? Well, it’s strictly the positive attitude she carries with herself.

In her 25-year-long rise to the top of the fashion world, Gisele faced many adversities. Like the first time, she walked the ramp topless at the age of 18. Or when she developed claustrophobia because of a near-fatal flying incident during one of her modeling trips to Costa Rica. However, Bündchen has never allowed herself to become the victim of the situation.

When my anxiety attacks started happening, people who knew me felt sorry for me. It would have been easy to buy into that way of thinking. Why is this happening to me? Poor me! Why am I having anxiety attacks? I’m such a good person. But if I did that, I would have seen myself as a victim,” Gisele wrote in her memoir. “When you start seeing yourself as a victim, you surrender your power. And it can be hard to get it back,” she added.

Two things that helped Gisele develop this positive attitude

The $400 million-worth supermodel didn’t know all the tricks back in the late nineties when she started her career. She developed them along the way. Giving up harmful habits, like smoking, and religiously embracing health and nutrition, helped tremendously.

The top two go-to practices for Gisele are yoga and meditation. And this helped the model see things clearly as she began the process of self-introspection. Instead of surrendering to the situation, she started getting to the root of the problem at hand. “There’s an opportunity here. What can you learn from this? What is the lesson here,” she would ask herself.
