Bayless rethought his show and took 2 months off to revamp and bring it to the next level. He added Josina Anderson, Michael Irvin, Rachel Nichols, Keyshawn Johnson, and Richard Sherman to the cast of the show. Previously, Sharpe was on ‘Undisputed’ for 7 years but had said goodbyes to Bayless 3 months back.

At the same time, Smith pulled out another mega weapon to give tough competition to other TV shows. Pat Mcafee will be joining his team along with Molly Qerim and Shannon Sharpe. Mcafee will be featured on the show every Tuesday this year. Additionally, the casting of Sharpe attracted a tremendous amount of viewers to the show.

Dov Kleiman tweeted on his X about the situation and also shared an article by Front Office Sports in his post. As per sources, the ratings of ‘First Take’ exploded last week with the arrival of the former Denver Broncos tight end, Sharpe on the show. So much so that the episode surpassed all but the episode after the Super Bowl and became the second-most-watched episode on the show. However, human beings get accustomed to their habits, and Sharpe has too as he became a victim of Freudian slip on the show.

The tight end is all set to join the SAS every Monday and Tuesday this season of NFL. Both times after the Freudian slip, Sharpe apologized to Smith. Smith didn’t seem to take that personally and said, “It’s okay.” But Sharpe pointed out that he had been on the previous show for seven years.

Fortunately, Sharpe didn’t repeat the same thing after that. But it’s speculated that might happen again in the future. Both of them didn’t make any deal out of it and laughed it off. What do you think of the two shows? Let us know in the comments below.
