It’s Spooktober! Halloween spirit is getting to the teams. The first team to celebrate the spooky season is the Carolina Panthers. The Panthers host the best NFL event every year as a way to give back and strengthen their team. That is Levine Children’s Hospital’s yearly Rookie Halloween costume celebration. While Tom Brady spends his days solemnly after P.J. Walker defeated him on the field, Matt Coral had fun with the little kids.

As they moved down the walkway, the first-round pick, Ikem Ekwonu, and his runway companion performed the well-known griddy dance.

The 23-year-old quarterback of the Panthers, Matt Corral, dressed as Mr. Incredible and Dash from ‘The Incredibles’ movies, along with his companion.

Corral (foot) is no longer wearing a walking boot as he recovers from surgery in September. Even though Corral won’t play in 2022, his current recovery from the Lisfranc injury he sustained in the preseason may position him for a very healthy summer. Corral, who the Panthers selected in the third round of this year’s draft after trading up, is a crucial long-term addition to the team.

The Carolina Panthers now give the responsibility of being the QB1 to the backup QB, P.J. Walker. This information comes after the interim coach of the team announced that Baker Mayfield could surely be the backup to Walker. The dynamics have certainly changed. And so it has in the Bucs’ army.

P.J. Walker never imagined he would quarterback opposite Tom Brady, much less carry a one-score lead into halftime against the all-time great, as he started consecutive games for the first time in his career.

However, Walker rose to the occasion, throwing the same number of touchdowns in the first half against Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday as he did incomplete passes.

Carolina ran for 173 yards and never trailed against the reigning NFC South champions. They defeated them 21-3 behind a dominant offensive line. The game saw center Bradley Bozeman make his first start for the Panthers.
