Hip-Hop sensation and rapper Snoop Dogg has been an active NFL fan ever since his childhood. His love for football tempts him to be a part of the football community even now. He makes frequent appearances in NFL talk shows and has also taken interviews of football players, like Von Miller on his signing to the Los Angeles Rams.

But since every football fan has that one particular team that is closer to his/her heart. This brings us to the question; which team does Snoop Dogg root for? Turns out that the team also qualified for the playoffs this season. The team in question is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yes, the D-O-Double-G admitted his love for the Steelers during his appearance at the ManningCast.

Snoop Dogg roots for the Pittsburgh Steelers

“Well in the 70s, you know, watching your dad [Archie Manning] and watching the Steelers and the Raiders and the Cowboys and the teams from the 70s, I fell in love with they great defense, the way they moved the ball, just the way they played football,” Snoop Dogg said about how he became a fan of the Steelers.

“It was fun to watch as a kid and as I got older, I fell more in love with them because I got a chance to meet the players,” Dogg continued. “I got to meet coach [Bill] Cowher and Ben Roethlisberger, you know, Jerome Bettis and the rest of the guys and you know, I became a part of Steeler Nation.”

Snoop is so much into football that he even spends time coaching youth players in a league of his own, named Snoop Youth Football League. His league is so famous that even two current NFL players played in that league. One of them was the New York Giants WR John Ross, while the other one was, Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster.

In fact, the game during which the 50-year-old singer appeared in the ManningCast, was a Steelers game. He still cherishes the moments when Pittsburgh players dominate the league just as TJ Watt did this year. “You know I like T.J. Watt because he’s the baby brother,” Snoop said.
