Well, who can ever keep Aaron Rodgers from saying what he wants? Often leaving multiple tempers flaring in his wake. While the quarterback is a show in for the history books of the NFL, his off-field antics take center stage right now. On a recent episode of his show, UNDISPUTED on Fox with co-host Skip Bayless. Sharpe expressed his annoyance with A-Rod, bringing up his back-to-back MVP awards in the fray. While the Green Bay Packers are currently 3-6 in 9 weeks this season.
Now on a 5 game-losing streak after losing to their divisional rivals, the Detroit Lions, this Sunday. And as Rodgers reminded people that he was still the defending MVP, Sharpe failed to see any comforting or reasonable explanation for his recent performance. On the contrary, he asked a simple question, “Where was that guy on Sunday?”
The Hall of Famer found the statement to be redundant, as he feels sitting on a 3-6 record has nothing to do with a reigning MVP. Further, calling out the Super Bowl champion for his lack of inspiration on the field. “Those guys in the huddle that was looking for that guy in the middle,” added Sharpe. “Expecting greatness. where was that guy at?”
Besides the bad fortune with the results, Rodgers looks like a shell of his past self. And it is now worrying many experts.
