Gisele Bündchen and Aaron Rodgers are often seen as polar opposites. If not for the fact that Gisele is Rodgers’ arch-rival, Tom Brady’s, ex-wife, their outlook on life would never be seen as a common chain for most fans. But in reality, Bündchen and Rodgers are indeed, just two sides of the same coin. And, she once opened up about her emotions which sounds very similar to the QB.

While they may differ in their lives and their social outlooks, the pair have found an uncommon alliance with their philosophical outlooks on life. Although Gisele might prefer a more nuanced, more tame version of self-awareness, her end goal resonates with the same philosophy which saw Aaron Rodgers’ infamous darkness retreat experiment and his run-ins with Ayahuasca.

The Darkness retreat, his ‘trips’ with Ayahuasca, where do we begin with Aaron’s journey towards self-discovery? The QB has been very vocal about his desire to find his ‘true self’ through meditation and expanding his self-awareness. His trips to the woods of Oregon saw the QB spend four nights and five days within a darkness retreat, to “be able to contemplate all things [about] my future.” His contemplation saw the QB reach deep within himself to form his final decision on his future path with Football.

Perhaps even wilder, however, are Rodgers’ Peru trips in 2020 and 2022, which saw him experimenting with the organic hallucinogenic, psychedelic drug, Ayahuasca. In his path to ‘learning more about himself’, Rodgers engaged in several trips to Peru, trying out native Ayahuasca therapy. But through all of this, Rodger’s had only one goal. To discover himself and find his own mind and body through self-awareness.

Gisele Bündchen and her path to self-awareness

Gisele Bündchen’s memoir offers insight into her own philosophical outlook on life. The Brazilian supermodel has dealt with the question of discovering oneself for a long time. In her memoir, she detailed her experiences with discovering herself through her path of self-discovery and growing her self-awareness to learn more about herself, people, and the world around her. Sounds oddly similar to Rodgers, doesn’t it?

Through the teachings of the great leaders in Christianity, Buddhism, and Hinduism, she detailed her path to discovering her own form of enlightenment through a journey of self-discovery.

“What you seek is seeking you,” quoted Bündchen referring to the famous poet Rumi.

Her ideologies on the world are based on understanding human nature through self-reflection, and self-awareness. These are all facets of her learnings which she detailed nearly half a decade ago in her memoirs.

Although much different in their approaches, as they are as people, Bundchen and Rodgers deal with a very similar core ideological belief system. Through her outlook, it isn’t hard to see the similarities between her and Rodgers. In a single chapter of her book, written half a decade ago, Gisele perfectly encapsulated the exact emotional struggle that Aaron Rodgers now faces in his journey to self-discovery. Life certainly has a way of going around full circle, doesn’t it?
