Now, the Super Bowl champ has taken his coaching talents to the University of Colorado. The infamous coach took to addressing the student-athletes of Colorado’s football program. He was setting the tone of how he is going to be coaching. Fans had a visceral reaction to Sanders’ speech on Twitter.
Fans criticizing Deion Sanders
The fans on Twitter went on to criticize the way the coach approached his players. There was a very negative reaction to the way Deion Sanders spoke to his future players.
A fan mocked the coach’s strategy to try and ‘win’ over his new team.
Wait he had a meeting to tell them many of them will lose their spots and should leave? What a great way to win over a team lmfao

There were comments on how inhumane it might be to toy with the student’s education for the sake of winning and bringing in new talent.
Thats horrible, these young men may not be the best but there getting educations, to just completely drop every single one of them to bring in a whole new roster seems fucked up to me.

Additionally, a fan commented on the negative impact of Sanders’ actions on HBCUs.
Nah this is so gross
Deion tapping for the YT man
So much for growing HBCU

However, supporters of Sanders also thought the move was not a wise one.
I like Deion but this was classless. You can up the skill level without berating the players who are already there. Real leaders don’t do this. Also he just told the other kids to stay put now he’s about to raid that team.

Moreover, comments have also pre-determined that Sanders’ plan will fail.
This is why he will Fail, he will get the kids chasing the glory and money but he won’t get the Hearts of true warriors

Conversely, there were some supporters that believe his strategy might work.
Maybe not the way I would’ve started but if if it works then they will cheer him. I probably would’ve said I’m bringing kids in here to compete and the best players will play so if you don’t think you can handle it then the portal is there for you.

A fan was genuinely just asking about the meaning behind the speech.
What does this even fucking mean?
— LeonardoDeFinci (@leonardodefinci) December 5, 2022
Lastly, Twitter did not lack mocking comments.
So.. he’s kicking out everyone that got scholarships and earned their spots. And he’s replacing them with a bunch of guys that couldn’t get scholarships? lol

These were not the only revelations made when the coach addressed the players. He made his goals very clear for the future of the team.

Sanders’ goals for Colorado
When Sanders addressed his new players, he made it a point to set the tone for the upcoming seasons. Subsequently. the coach went on to say that he wants to replenish the team’s roster with more talent. Furthermore, the coach also talked about how his practices are going to be absolutely no-nonsense and devoid of any kind of showboating. He said, “it’s going to be a different place a different field a different attitude a different energy a different work ethic.”
Deion Sanders has made his vision for Colorado brutally clear. He does not seem to care too much about upsetting fans, players, and on-lookers as long as his chosen team gets the results that he desires. However, the question that remains is whether he will be able to achieve his goals for the University of Colorado.
