The Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been one of the successful players in the National Football League. Interestingly, his father played a crucial role in cementing his pro-football skills and guiding him through the way.
Edward Wesley Rodgers, the parent of three sons (Luke, Aaron, and Jordan), was an outstanding football player at high school and college-level games. However, fate had something else destined for him, and he couldn’t pursue this sport as a career option.

Born on 9th February 1955 in Texas, Edward Rodgers completed his graduation from California State University and played football for the same team. He featured as an offensive lineman for the Chico State Wildcats from 1973 to 1976.
Soon after college, his friend ventured into Canadian Football, but none of the teams signed him. Ultimately, Sr. Rodgers made his way back home and signed with a semi-pro team. He won two championships with them and retired.

Growing up, Edward Rodgers was the primary source of inspiration for his sons to take up football. The 67-year-old and currently an active chiropractor points out that his drinking habits and uncontrolled partying derailed him from his path.
But he didn’t want his sons to follow the same route, and thus he raised them with a determined will & dreams to chase. Especially when Aaron Rodgers won the Lombardi Trophy in 2011, his father might have experienced a seamless sense of pride and happiness.

Even though Aaron Rodgers could only win a single Super Bowl title, the veteran is one of the most successful quarterbacks in the league. The 38-year-old signal-caller strengthened the offensive lineup of the Packers over the past two decades. After playing for the California University team, Rodgers got drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL draft.

It was in 2008, however, that the Packers promoted the Texas native to the starting position. Soon after three years, he won the Super Bowl ring. Rodgers has registered 34 rushing touchdowns and the reigning MVP.

The Packers QB boasts 10 Pro Bowl selections and four-time First-team All-pro selections. With several records and achievements under his name. Fans expect Rodgers to enter the NFL Hall of Fame in the future.
