Last night, the Arizona Cardinals, who are vying for a spot in the NFC West, were totally outclassed by the high-flying AFC South squad Indianapolis Colts. The Cardinals have been sloppy for a while now and based on the latest press conference, coach Kliff Kingsbury seems to be clueless for solutions.

Last night, the Arizona Cardinals lost to the Indianapolis Colts 22-16. While the Colts were brilliant, one cannot look over how sloppy and inefficient the Cardinals were. Not only did the Arizona-based outfit miss two open field goals, but the Cardinals also continued their surprisingly underwhelming finish in the red zone. Post-match, when quipped about the red zone struggles, HC Kliff called for an improvement from his team.

“We just gotta find a way to put it in. We’ve been struggling in the red zone and haven’t been sharp. Once again, we were great early in the season but now we haven’t been,” said Kingsbury. While on-field performances have been average, the head coach’s play-calling has also been questionable as his gut proved to be costly last night against the Colts. When asked for an explanation regarding his wrong call last night, the coach repeated once again about working on “ourselves”

“We’re gonna have to kick the onside regardless … we decided to give ourselves some time and try to get onside with enough time if we did get it to go down and score a touchdown,” said Kliff Kingsbury.

The Cardinals started this season with a seven winning streak. But since then, the Cardinals seem to have fallen off a cliff. They are 3-5 in the last eight games and seem to be moving further away from clinching a playoff spot. Situations such as these are a real test of character and the HC has an important role to keep the morale high at the camp.

After the match, the gaffer was asked about how he plans to organize and manage his troops following a bad streak. The response was in line with the other questions as he said that working on ourselves and focusing is the key to ironing out the wrinkles. “We just have to get back to work… then we have an extra day. You know, then a back-to-back 6-day prep and great opponent coming up on the road to Dallas… great atmosphere; so we got to find a way to correct these mistakes.”
