The Pittsburgh Steelers are headed to play the LA Rams soon at the SoFi stadium. So far, the Rams have shown an average performance. The Rams are going to the matchup with a 3-3 record and high hopes. It’s safe to say that the Rams are bent on reinforcing their offense, especially since Cooper Kupp got involved again. However, there are still questions and things to be uncovered.

Puka Nacua broke certain records during the start of his regular season NFL games. However, after Kupp’s return, things have been a bit different. The Rams are doing the opposite of what people were thinking, and the numbers show it all. So far, Kupp has not played in all the games, and the difference shows. Also, there are questions surrounding Matthew Stafford since Kupp’s return.

Steelers Depot did an in-depth analysis of the next game between the Rams and the Pittsburgh team. It seems like the Rams need a desperate switch up in their offense, as the tweet says, “Scouting Report: Rams Offense Immediately Getting WR Cooper Kupp Involved.” In the last two games against the Arizona Cardinals and the Philadelphia Eagles, Kupp maintained a 50:50 ratio of wins and losses. However, this data does not help predict the next game.

Cooper Kupp missed the first four regular-season games because of a hamstring injury. But as anticipated as his return was, the Stafford and Kupp duo couldn’t accomplish much. Regardless of Kupp’s absence, Stafford has put up below-average stats. In the last two games he played with Kupp, he only completed 59% of his passes, combined with a 2.9% touchdown rate.

Jared Goff’s replacement suffered an injury, but he is projected as healthy now, and the Rams have a lot riding on Stafford and Kupp. One strange thing about all of this was that before Kupp’s return, Nacua got a lot of highlights, but not so now.

What does this mean for the other WRs?

In lieu of Kupp’s absence, Nacua covered for him and did a phenomenal job of it. He was targeted 70 times this season, and this number saw a whopping downfall after Kupp’s return. Nacua was only targeted 18 times ever since the WR1 marked his return. Does that mean that Nacua is not part of the plan anymore? If at all, this is far from the truth. The presence of these exceptional WRs gives more room to the Rams to run their offense.

On the other hand, Cooper Kupp saw 21 targets in his last two games. So far, the WR1 has 266 receiving yards from 15 receptions that he caught out of 21 targets. Not to forget his touchdown against the Cardinals. Considering Nacua’s condition, Tutu Atwell is doing worse since he’s barely even targeted. In the last two weeks, Atwell was only targeted twice after Kupp’s return.
